VP of Marketing

Reporting to the CEO and partnering with the broader team, the VP of Marketing will have a broad scope of responsibility for our marketing activities. The role will oversee Cinchona’s entire portfolio of brands and be responsible for identifying and executing on strategies to make the best ecommerce brands that fit our stringent criteria. The role will own and deliver the brand and commercial strategies for all our categories (Home & Kitchen or Fitness & Sports or Beauty & Fashion etc.), and grow/optimize all aspects of the business, including defining brand identity and positioning, improving the product assortment, implementing product portfolio extension and new product launches, optimizing content & design etc.

Role and Responsibilities
  • Transform Sellers into Brands by defining the identity of the brands (positioning, brand territory, tone of voice, USP)
  • Define product content and branding optimization priorities and build/hire our future Marketing & Branding Teams
  • Analyze market trends and customer needs, and define product evolution/development and range extension priorities
  • Work with internal teams to develop a go-to-market strategy and launch of brands in a D2C website.
  • Assess multi-channel strategy for our brands and produce reports
  • Define the key marketing & traffic priorities for all categories (Social, Paid Ads, DtoC website)
  • Analyze key performance indicators of portfolios and propose strategies to troubleshoot problems
  • Develop data-driven methodologies to identify opportunities and optimize activities across our brand management levers
  • Work with our future Tech team to define our IT systems roadmap and identify brand management tools to scale internally, and manage the Customer Data Platform to create efficient Marketing Campaigns.
  • Develop and manage content strategy that educates and engages the Amazon seller community
  • Write and publish content through regular blog posts, social media posts, whitepapers, case studies, email newsletters, etc.
  • Support our virtual and in-person conference schedule through a variety of initiatives
  • Execute multi-channel demand gen programs, including paid and organic search, web, social advertising, webinars and more Manage aspects of the inbound lead generation funnel and find ways to add automation and efficiencies to the existing process
Key Requirements
  • Have 5-8 years of experience in Brand management, Category Leadership, B2B, Product marketing, Product development in an FMCG or E-commerce environment (e.g. Amazon, Shopify, Etsy, etc.)
  • Proven track record on how to successfully develop, launch and grow consumer products in D2C
  • Exceptional written communication skills and experience generating public facing content
  • Superior analytic skills with the ability to compile, analyze and leverage performance data to both identify new opportunities and optimize current campaigns
  • Experience using Content Management tools (WordPress, Wix) Analytics tools (Google Analytics) and other Marketing tools (Salesforce, Drift, etc.)

    Junior Brand Builder
    The Junior Brand Builder will take ownership of a portfolio of CINCHONA’s brands and be in charge of growing and bringing them to the next level. This role is in a key position to building the success of the company, by growing and optimising all aspects of the business on their portfolio on and off of Amazon.

    This includes: Optimising the Amazon Listings, focusing on CRO, Developing Ecommerce and Growth Marketing. The role will report into our Vice President of Marketing. An understanding of numbers, growth marketing and willingness to roll up your sleeves is a must.

    Success will be based on intimate knowledge of the listings on Amazon, the opportunity to test and grow the brands and also take them to the next level off of Amazon.

    Role and Responsibilities
    • Daily checks of Amazon listings for customer satisfaction, inventory concerns and any issues with the listings themselves. Keeping an eye on the best seller badge and the competition.
    • Analyse key performance indicators of Amazon ASIN level data (sales, conversation rate, page views, costs, etc.) to determine why certain products are trending up or down, be able to articulate observations and propose strategies to troubleshoot problems.
    • Analyse key performance indicators of portfolio and propose strategies to troubleshoot problems
    • Develop strategies to increase sales for example; reduce costs and drive conversion rate of acquired products including: price optimization, PPC, packaging/inserts, coupons and deals, customer communications, creative, changing package dimensions, subscribe and save, removing unprofitable products, etc.
    • Start to develop strategies for ‘off Amazon’ growth through Ecommerce, Ebay, Etsy and wholesale.
    • Experience in an eCommerce environment (e.g. Amazon, Shopify, Etsy, etc.)

      Brand Content Manager – Remote
      Being part of the Brand Builder team at CINCHONA, you will play an active role in supporting daily marketing activities such as: social media, marketing campaigns, website updates, producing newsletters as well as the creation of marketing materials across multiple brands.       You will currently be used to working in a highly autonomous environment and able to work independently. You are comfortable working at speed and have a keen interest in start-ups.

      Role and Responsibilities
      • Developing & supporting online marketing campaigns.
      • Create engaging content for social channels including Instagram, Facebook & Pinterest, Twitter.
      • (Assist) Creating and planning the design of email marketing newsletters.

        Amazon PPC Specialist
        We are looking for a PPC Ninja – that is an experienced performance marketing professional to onboard and scale Amazon PPC accounts! You’ll be responsible for owning newly acquired brands and have a key role in driving the long term success of brands at CINCHONA.
        Role and Responsibilities
        • Building PPC campaign structures that will enable us to quickly scale accounts and allow us to grow
        • Gathering data and ensuring that historical campaign performance is interrogated.
        • You should be comfortable to quickly identifying key performance drivers within their PPC structure and pivot as needed.
        • Serving as your own project manager. You will be dealing with multiple brands, each with their own timelines and nuances.
        • You must be highly organised and able to operate with high level of autonomy.
        • You should be an expert at multi-tasking and able to manage multiple onboarding projects simultaneously.
        • Keeping key stakeholders informed on the status of PPC onboarding. This will include partners in marketing and brand ops.
        Key Requirements
        • Minimum 2+ years of experience working in Search PPC
        • Expertise with either Amazon PPC or Google Ads/Microsoft Ads strongly preferred

            • Key member of the finance team supporting the financial due diligence process of prospective acquisition targets.
            • Lead the post-close financial integration of acquired businesses from both a reporting and operating perspective to facilitate a successful and efficient onboarding that maximizes the synergies of acquired assets.
            • Develop and document key business processes and policies; assist in enhancing existing best practices.
            • Build a dynamic operating model and playbook which can be tailored to specific acquisitions to successfully address key deal issues.
            • A leading role in the design, implementation, and build out of a finance integrations team that will support a highly visible, high impact function within our business.
