Reporting to the CEO and partnering with the broader team, the VP of Marketing will have a broad scope of responsibility for our marketing activities. The role will oversee Cinchona’s entire portfolio of brands and be responsible for identifying and executing on strategies to make the best ecommerce brands that fit our stringent criteria. The role will own and deliver the brand and commercial strategies for all our categories (Home & Kitchen or Fitness & Sports or Beauty & Fashion etc.), and grow/optimize all aspects of the business, including defining brand identity and positioning, improving the product assortment, implementing product portfolio extension and new product launches, optimizing content & design etc.
- Transform Sellers into Brands by defining the identity of the brands (positioning, brand territory, tone of voice, USP)
- Define product content and branding optimization priorities and build/hire our future Marketing & Branding Teams
- Analyze market trends and customer needs, and define product evolution/development and range extension priorities
- Work with internal teams to develop a go-to-market strategy and launch of brands in a D2C website.
- Assess multi-channel strategy for our brands and produce reports
- Define the key marketing & traffic priorities for all categories (Social, Paid Ads, DtoC website)
- Analyze key performance indicators of portfolios and propose strategies to troubleshoot problems
- Develop data-driven methodologies to identify opportunities and optimize activities across our brand management levers
- Work with our future Tech team to define our IT systems roadmap and identify brand management tools to scale internally, and manage the Customer Data Platform to create efficient Marketing Campaigns.
- Develop and manage content strategy that educates and engages the Amazon seller community
- Write and publish content through regular blog posts, social media posts, whitepapers, case studies, email newsletters, etc.
- Support our virtual and in-person conference schedule through a variety of initiatives
- Execute multi-channel demand gen programs, including paid and organic search, web, social advertising, webinars and more Manage aspects of the inbound lead generation funnel and find ways to add automation and efficiencies to the existing process
- Have 5-8 years of experience in Brand management, Category Leadership, B2B, Product marketing, Product development in an FMCG or E-commerce environment (e.g. Amazon, Shopify, Etsy, etc.)
- Proven track record on how to successfully develop, launch and grow consumer products in D2C
- Exceptional written communication skills and experience generating public facing content
- Superior analytic skills with the ability to compile, analyze and leverage performance data to both identify new opportunities and optimize current campaigns

This includes: Optimising the Amazon Listings, focusing on CRO, Developing Ecommerce and Growth Marketing. The role will report into our Vice President of Marketing. An understanding of numbers, growth marketing and willingness to roll up your sleeves is a must.
Success will be based on intimate knowledge of the listings on Amazon, the opportunity to test and grow the brands and also take them to the next level off of Amazon.
- Daily checks of Amazon listings for customer satisfaction, inventory concerns and any issues with the listings themselves. Keeping an eye on the best seller badge and the competition.
- Analyse key performance indicators of Amazon ASIN level data (sales, conversation rate, page views, costs, etc.) to determine why certain products are trending up or down, be able to articulate observations and propose strategies to troubleshoot problems.
- Analyse key performance indicators of portfolio and propose strategies to troubleshoot problems
